Chelsea have been monitoring the 19-year-old's situation since the January transfer window opened, but other Premier League clubs are keen and are now in active contact as the race to land his signature has begun.
The teenager is currently under contract with Bayern Munich until 2029, but his desire to leave the club could open up a January move.
The France Under-21 international has played 13 games this season across all competitions and has provided one assist.
Tel is a versatile forward who is capable of playing on both wings and as a striker, which has piqued the interest of Arsenal fans.
The Gunners have been handed several attacking blows as of late with Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka currently on the sidelines which is stretching Mikel Arteta's options.
Supporters have told the club to "push through" to make the deal happen as they believe Arsenal "must" secure his signature now after he's informed Bayern Munich of his desire to leave.
Hopefully we get to push through the Mathys Tel deal. We are advancing ahead of Chelsea. Hopefully he will have the same impact as Arshavin.

He should come to Arsenal if he has any ambitions and wants decent playing time

You know what bro, I was watching a clip, and he felt a better suit at cf to me as well. Not a bad option at all. Project player though.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Arteta put him on the left as Martinelli's replacement and then get Sesko for the middle. Wouldn't be so bad to have two great ball striking attackers in the lineup

Mathys Tel can play off the left but make no mistake about it, his peak is at CF.
If Arsenal decide to sign him, you might as well forget about Sesko because you would have a striker for life in Tel.
He is that good.
