Angel Reese opened up her second WNBA season as the Chicago Sky traveled to Indianapolis to face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever in a primetime game on ABC.
In 2024, Clark and the Fever got the best of the Sky, winning 3-of-4 contests. Chicago's lone win of the season series came on June 23, when Reese recorded 25 points and 16 rebounds on the way to an 88-87 victory.
The last time the Sky and Fever faced off at Gainbridge Fieldhouse was on June 16, a 91-83 Indiana win.
In that game, Reese recorded yet another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Clark tallied a near triple-double of 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting, eight rebounds and nine assists.
Ahead of Saturday's matchup, Reese spoke to the media for a postgame press conference. She addressed the last time she played at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, admitting she can't remember when that was. The former LSU star also had high praise for Indianapolis sports fans.
"I don't remember the last time we were here," Reese said. "But obviously, you know the environment coming here is great. You can see how they love women's basketball here. Obviously, all their teams here in Indiana are great. The NBA team, the football team and the women's basketball team. So it's like a sports city. I know they will come out and show support. Everybody's in jerseys walking down the street, and that's super exciting to see."

Reese also addressed fans traveling far distances to watch the WNBA, claiming she met women's basketball supporters from Alaska and Australia.
The Sky made some exciting changes since the last time they played Indiana. They brought in new coach Tyler Marsh, while adding guards Courtney Vandersloot and Ariel Atkins.
Following the Fever game, Chicago has a few days off before facing the New York Liberty on Thursday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
