Andre Onana has struggled at Man United since he arrived at the club in 2023 as the fourth-most-expensive goalkeeper of all time.

His first season was underwhelming, and most Man United fans blamed him for their Champions League exit. In the just-concluded season, he made many errors, and some fans want him replaced.

Recently, he was asked if he will leave the club in the summer transfer window. He gave an ambiguous answer. Heb still has three years left in his contract.

Man United boss Ruben Amorim is reportedly seeking a new goalkeeper to replace the Cameroon international.

“We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,” he said via the Guardian. “You can see my record [too] – my record is the worst in the team. I am also underperforming. We need to improve. We cannot change all the players."

Senne Lammens, Marcin Bulka, Lucas Chevalier, and Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez have been linked with the Red Devils as possible replacements.

According to Sky Sports, Ligue 1 side Monaco are exploring the conditions of a possible deal with the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

Monaco will play in the Champions League next season and have been looking to bolster their squad. They are also interested in signing former Man United midfielder Paul Pogba

According to Opta, Onana has made a total of eight errors leading to goals since the start of the 2023/24 season. It remains to be seen whether clubs will invest to secure his signature.

Moreover, if Onana's form doesn’t improve, his coach will be feeling the heat. Holding onto him could soon become a headache, potentially leading to bigger problems.

@marvinbp3:

"If Monaco wants an active goalkeeper and is ready to help Onana get his confidence back, signing him could be a smart move."

@Aijay_006:

"We love Monaco. Please help us take Onana to your wonderful club. He'll be good for you."

@spuddgaming:

No! Let him stay, it’s hilarious watching him cost United points week in week out 😅."

Earlier, reported that former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen stated that Amorim will be dismissed by Christmas if his team's performance doesn't improve.

The Dutchman remains unconvinced by Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation, emphasising that he is "not wise" for refusing to make adjustments.

The former Sporting CP boss suffered 17 defeats in his first six months and is under pressure to deliver results quickly.
