Ana de Armas joined members of the cast and crew and special guests for the premiere of “Ballerina” in London on Thursday. The Oscar-nominated actress stars in the action thriller, part of the “John Wick” film franchise led by Keanu Reeves.
For the special red carpet occasion, de Armas styled a custom look courtesy of Louis Vuitton by Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections for the French luxury fashion house. The dress featured a fitted-silhouette with shimmering details throughout.
Designed with an ornate fan-inspired patterning throughout. The dress included a sweetheart neckline with double thin straps connected at the center and sides of the neckline. A small cutout was placed at the base of the neckline on the bodice.
As for jewelry pieces, the “Blonde” Oscar-nominated star coordinated her Louis Vuitton dress with pieces from the French luxury fashion house’s high jewelry collection. De Armas’ hair was styled with a middle part and soft, natural curls by stylist Jenny Cho. Her makeup featured bold brows, lined eyes and a pop of red lip by Mélanie Inglessis. De Armas’ “Ballerina” premiere look was curated by stylist Samantha McMillen, who also collaborated with Elle Fanning on her Cannes Film Festival looks.
De Armas has a close relationship with Louis Vuitton. As a brand ambassador, the actress starred in the French luxury fashion house’s “Le Damier de Louis Vuitton” jewelry campaign in September 2024. The actress joined Louis Vuitton as a brand ambassador in June 2023.
Ahead of her forthcoming film’s debut, de Armas spoke with WWD about what drew her to “Ballerina” and ultimately joining the “John Wick” universe. “As much action as there was on the page, I could see the heart too,” de Armas recently told WWD. “The character has such a beautiful journey. The emotionality of the character is so important in the film, I was just like, ‘oh, I have to do this.’”
“Ballerina” chronicles the origin story of Eve Macarro, played by de Armas, an orphaned ballerina assassin who sets out to avenge her father’s death. The film hits theaters June 6.
