Actresses wear Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga to film premieres

Ana de Armas attended the London premiere of "Ballerina" on Thursday, joining cast, crew, and special guests. She stars in the action thriller “Ballerina,” which is part of the “John Wick” film franchise led by Keanu Reeves. De Armas wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress by Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections for the French luxury fashion house. The fitted dress featured shimmering details and an ornate fan-inspired patterning. It included a sweetheart neckline with double thin straps connected at the center and sides, with a small cutout at the base of the neckline on the bodice.

The “Blonde” star paired her Louis Vuitton dress with high jewelry from the same fashion house. Jenny Cho styled her hair with a middle part and soft, natural curls, while Mélanie Inglessis created a makeup look featuring bold brows, lined eyes, and a red lip. Samantha McMillen, who also collaborated with Elle Fanning on her Cannes Film Festival looks, curated de Armas’ premiere look.

De Armas has a strong relationship with Louis Vuitton, serving as a brand ambassador. She starred in the “Le Damier de Louis Vuitton” jewelry campaign in September 2024 and became a brand ambassador in June 2023. She spoke about her reasons for joining “Ballerina” and the “John Wick” universe. She told WWD that she was drawn to the heart and emotional journey of the character, Eve Macarro, an orphaned ballerina assassin avenging her father's death. “Ballerina” is set to release in theaters on June 6.

Juliette Binoche made an appearance at the Resurrection Cannes Film Festival premiere wearing a black Balenciaga satin gown. The gown, which shared the same off-the-shoulder silhouette as a pink version worn by Barbara Palvin earlier in the week, showcased understated glamour and refinement. Unlike Palvin's gown, Binoche’s black column version featured crease-free fabric, presenting a presidential presence fitting for her role as Jury President.

Binoche's look exemplified how the right cut, fabric, and context can transform a gown, appearing stately yet glamorous. She accessorized with Chopard jewels, embodying classic French elegance, Cannes-style. The look was styled by Jonathan Huguet.
