Moray Council and its housing partners are to invest almost £10 million pounds in affordable housing over the next year, supported by funding from the Scottish Government.
The Housing and Community Safety Committee yesterday (Tuesday 24 June) reviewed the Affordable Housing Investment Programme, which outlines current progress and future plans to deliver affordable homes across Moray.
A total of 228 new affordable homes are either under construction or scheduled to start before the end of March 2026; including key developments in Lossiemouth, Aberlour, and Elgin South.
The programme continues to be delivered through partnerships with Housing Associations including Grampian Housing Association, Osprey Housing and Places for People, alongside Moray Council’s own new build and acquisition initiatives.
The committee also received an update on the Bilbohall development following electricity supply challenges. The council has now agreed a way to allow delivery of 106 homes on the site. Tendering for construction is underway, with contract approvals expected later this year and site works expected to start soon after.
