Manchester United and Chelsea will have different plans for the summer transfer window.

The Blues are in the Champions League and will be aiming to add more quality, while the Red Devils will be planning for a window without European football.

Man United have signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, while the Blues have signed Liam Delap, who has been in action at the Club World Cup in the USA.

With nearly two months left in the transfer window, the two clubs will likely make further moves to improve their squads. Enzo Maresca's side finished fourth last season but struggled to score goals at some point during the season in the Premier League.

Cole Palmer's dip in form and Nicolas Jackson's struggles in front of goal led the club to acquire Delap from Ipswich, and they may add another attacking player to support Palmer.

Meanwhile, without European football, Manchester United will reportedly look to sell players first before adding more to their squad. They have submitted another bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, but it is unclear how much they will spend in the coming months.

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea and Man United are exploring a swap deal involving Garnacho and Christopher Nkunku.

The two players want to quit their respective clubs, and they could trade places, the report adds. However, the two Premier League giants are yet to begin talks about a possible deal.

The Blues are looking to sign a left winger, with Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens and Malik Fofana on top of their list. Garnacho, it seems, could be one of their targets for the position.

Last season, Garnacho registered 11 goals and 10 assists in 50 appearances, and his performances drew constant criticism. After Man United lost the Europa League final, he appeared to call out his coach, Ruben Amorim.

"Up until the final I played every round helping the team, and today I play 20 minutes, I don't know," said Garnacho via BBC Sport.

The Argentine will most likely leave the club. After the season, Amorim told the winger to find a new club.

Nkunku, on the other hand, has struggled to nail a starting spot at Chelsea, mainly due to injury. The Frenchman played 43 games last season and scored 14 goals. He made just nine starts in the Premier League.

Man United and Chelsea have done business before. Jadon Sancho joined the Blues on loan but will return to Old Trafford.

In a related story, reported that Erik ten Hag, the former Man United boss, could sign Garnacho and Antony after taking charge at Bayer Leverkusen.

The Dutchman has replaced Xabi Alonso at the club and is trying to bolster their attack, especially with Florian Wirtz joining Liverpool.

Garnacho played his best football under the Dutchman and could reunite in Germany.
