Telugu actor and Nagarjuna’s son Akhil Akkineni has officially tied the knot with entrepreneur and artist Zainab Ravdjee in a traditional yet low-key ceremony held in Hyderabad on Friday (June 6). The couple exchanged vows in the presence of close friends and family, with the event wrapped in a warm, private atmosphere.
The wedding was conducted in a classic Telugu style and was attended by several high-profile guests from the Telugu film industry. However, it was the groom’s family—especially his father Nagarjuna and brother Naga Chaitanya—who stole the show. In a now-viral video, both were seen joyously dancing during the baraat, with Nagarjuna sporting a wide smile as he led the celebrations.
The newlyweds opted for matching ivory silk ensembles. While Akhil was dressed in a simple, traditional pancha, Zainab chose an elegant ivory saree, accentuated with diamond jewellery. Akhil’s cousins, Sumanth and Sushanth A, and his sister-in-law, Sobhita Dhulipala, were also present. One video captured Sushanth joyously dancing in celebration.
Zainab Ravdjee, the bride, is the daughter of Hyderabad-based industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee. Known for her diverse talents, she is not only a perfumer and entrepreneur but also an artist who splits her time between Mumbai and Hyderabad.
The couple had made their relationship public in November, when Akhil posted a heartfelt message on Instagram: “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged.” Since then, anticipation for their wedding had been steadily building among fans.
