AI, robotics education to be ensured for all Class X students: Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education | Thiruvananthapuram News - Times of India
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE) announced that all Class X students in the state will be given the opportunity to study artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics in the current academic year.
The programme also includes practical experiments to ensure hands-on learning, marking a significant step in the state's digital education drive.As part of this initiative, a district-level workshop for Little KITES nodal officers was successfully concluded. Little KITES, the IT club network in public schools, will play a crucial role in implementing the robotics curriculum. Special focus is also being given this year to supporting students with various disabilities by providing inclusive learning through digital tools, KITE CEO Anvar Sadath said.The workshop saw participation from 390 students representing 196 Little KITES units across the district. It included various sessions and presentations aimed at guiding this year's club activities. The workshop featured discussions on best practices from top-performing Little KITES units at both the district and state levels, the importance of the School Wiki in spreading innovative ideas, and the broader role of Little KITES in school-level educational initiatives.
A detailed discussion on the support roles Little KITES units must undertake to facilitate robotics education in schools, ensuring that students receive the assistance and infrastructure necessary for engaging with emerging technologies was also held.
