AI algorithms can assist communities in preparing for climate-induced risks, such as wildfires, by processing images from cameras in fire-prone areas to detect outbreaks early. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that scaling up existing AI solutions could cut more emissions than all data centers generate. However, the IEA cautions that AI is not a "silver bullet" and that a comprehensive approach is necessary.
