In a groundbreaking collaboration, Disney Theatrical Group will join forces with AFWL to open the 7 PM Saturday catwalk show with a special performance by the cast of Disney’s The Lion King. This fusion of stage and style brings to life shared themes of heritage, identity, and storytelling rooted in African culture—a moment poised to captivate audiences and bridge generations.

Meanwhile, AFWL deepens its commitment to nurturing emerging talent through its continued partnership with the British Council. Ten designers from Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria will debut their collections through the Creative DNA programme, showcasing Africa’s next generation of visionary creatives on a global stage.
