Afenifere Leader's Ordeal: Tiktoker 'SeaKing' Asks Nigerian Police To Deploy Same Tools Used In Tracking Cyberbullying To Stop Kidnappers | Sahara Reporters
He asserted that the kidnappers were the real bullies of cyberspace.
Nigerian TikToker, Olumide Ogunsanwo, widely known as "SeaKing,” has called on the Nigeria Police Force to prioritise the capture of kidnappers rather than focusing on cyberbullying cases.
His comments come in response to the abduction of Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the National President of the Afenifere Youth Council.
In a video posted on his TikTok handle and obtained by SaharaReporters, SeaKing criticised the police for dedicating resources to tracking individuals accused of cyberbullying or criticising authorities while failing to go after kidnappers who openly post videos online.
He asserted that the kidnappers were the real bullies of cyberspace.
SeaKing stated, "This is one of the Yoruba Youth leaders who had been kidnapped, pleading for his life, begging Nigerians that they should help him.
"Kidnappers oo, please Nigerian Police, these are the people you should be tracking down. All this your cyberbullying, cyber-stalking that you are tracking down, that you are tracking people that are speaking the truth, sharp you have tracked someone who abused IGP; you have tracked him down, you will be saying cyberbullying, cyber something.
"These are the people (kidnappers) you are supposed to be tracking. These are the people that are bullying the cyberspace. Imagine Kidnappers posting; they will post online, but you cannot track them. These are the people you are supposed to be tracking."
He said, "These are the people that are bullying the cyberspace. They are the ones doing cyberbullying. Track them down.
"The same tools you use to monitor critics and those speaking out online — use them to track kidnappers," Seaking added.
SaharaReporters, previously reported that the National President of the Afenifere National Youth Council, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, has issued a desperate plea for help after being abducted by gunmen who have threatened to kill him if a N100 million ransom was not paid by 3pm today (Monday).
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, a kidnapper can be seen pointing an AK-47 at Ojajuni's chest as he appeals to the public for financial assistance to secure his release.
An exhausted and visibly distressed Ojajuni called on Nigerians to contribute whatever they could to save his life.
"Nigerians, please help me! Your donation—N100,000, N50,000, or N1,000,000—can go a long way in saving my life," he pleaded in the video. "My name is Prince Eniola Ojajuni. God bless you. Aderohunmu, please help me spread this video."
