Aerolloy Technologies (ATL), a subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited, has secured a major order from Safran Aircraft Engines (SAE) for LEAP engine components. This long-term agreement involves the supply of seven titanium and superalloy cast components for CFM’s LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines. This makes Aerolloy Technologies first Indian company providing such components to a major aircraft engine manufacturer. This partnership supports Safran’s strategy to strengthen India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem and meets the growing demand for LEAP engines.

“This order not only reinforces our strong relationship with a world-class engine manufacturer but also highlights our capabilities in producing complex, high-quality components for the next generation of aero engines. We are excited to contribute to the success of the LEAP engine program and look forward to a continued partnership with Safran," said Sachin Agarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of PTC Industries.

LEAP engine series manufacturing

This significant order designates ATL as the sole Indian supplier of titanium and superalloy cast components to a global aircraft engine manufacturer. The components are destined for both the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, showcasing ATL’s expertise in complex component manufacturing.

The LEAP engine series is known for its efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Currently, over 370 LEAP-powered aircraft operate in India, with more than 2,000 LEAP engines on order for Indian airlines.

Expansion of Indian manufactured products

Safran Aircraft Engines is committed to expanding its sourcing from India. Partnerships with key Indian suppliers like Aerolloy Technologies enhance LEAP engine production within India.

“This major agreement is another testimony of our strategy to build a strong aero engine supply-chain in India and thus support the LEAP commercial success. Benefiting from the expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities of Aerolloy Technologies, we look forward to working together to bring more value to our global supply chain,” believes Dominique Dupuy, Vice President Purchasing of Safran Aircraft Engines.
