Parliament has announced a re-composition of its committees, with Isaac Adongo appointed as the new Chairperson of the Finance Committee.

This key position oversees the country’s fiscal policies and economic management, and Mr. Adongo—known for his firm stance on financial matters—is expected to bring heightened scrutiny to government economic decisions.

As part of the reshuffle, Abena Osei-Asare has been named Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), replacing James Avedzi, the former MP for Ketu North.

The PAC plays a crucial role in auditing government expenditures and ensuring accountability in the use of public funds.

These leadership changes, along with other committee adjustments, aim to strengthen legislative oversight and promote transparency in public administration.
