Ace Bailey models game after Kevin Durant, Paul George and Jayson Tatum
Ace Bailey on player comparisons: “Big 3. KD (Kevin Durant), Paul George and Jayson Tatum. George and Tatum, their creation for them to get their shot off is unbelievable. I see myself doing the same thing. KD in the mid post with one, two dribbles, or less is straight buckets.” pic.x.com/WPnzKWJ9oG – 1:34 PM

There are two leagues in the NBA
The chronically woebegone Eastern Conference is technically one of them.

I’m LIVE on the @SportingTrib’s X talking about the Jayson Tatum’s injury sidelining him for a year, the Pacers eliminating the Cavaliers, the Thunder-Nuggets series and why it’s destined to go seven and who would you trade to get Giannis Antetokounmpo.

What’s on the line for Jokic this postseason?
Given what’s happened with Giannis/Luka/Tatum & SGA’s performance, his place as “Best Player Alive” isn’t in question.
It’s more about this: How high can he rise if he carries this team to a title? He’s already Top 20 All Time, but pic.x.com/W1AQkJFJpL – 7:26 PM

Jayson Tatum has a torn Achilles. He’s out most, if not all of next year.
What happens now? Who do the Celtics trade? What does Tatum look like post-injury. What in God’s name is going on in the East.
I address all of it below.

I hope Tatum got people around him to keep his spirits high. Going from no major injury in your life to an achilles tear has to take a toll on you mentally. – 5:57 PM

In the wake of the draft lottery, I came up with a whole boatload of Kevin Durant trades. We’re going live on @PHNX_Suns to talk about 10 of them, why they might make sense, and why they might not. Get in here!

Celtics’ Jayson Tatum suffers ruptured Achilles tendon, has surgery, faces extensive recovery
It raises questions about what the Celtics do this offseason, as they face being deep into the luxury tax heading into a season Tatum will miss most/all of.

The Celtics went from champions to possibly back-to-back champions to a team down 3-1 with a massive tax bill looming next season and quite possibly no Jayson Tatum for much if not all of 2025-26.
Ban injuries. Ban them with fire. – 5:00 PM

Jayson Tatum had surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles tendon, Celtics say. Boston will face the Knicks down 3-1 in their series as questions about the team’s luxury tax situation and long-term viability to keep the core together come into question. pic.x.com/SV64hDG3l2 – 4:56 PM

Jayson Tatum will all but certainly in the coming days become one of just 43 players in the history of the NBA to have four first team All-NBA selections in his career.
He’ll have done it four years in a row, having just turned 27 and entering his prime.
Just brutal news. – 4:52 PM

The NBA Draft Lottery has spoken, but how will Cooper Flagg, Giannis and that No. 10 Suns pick going to the Rockets affect Kevin Durant’s trade market? Here are a BUNCH of hypothetical trades, featuring dark horse suitors and crazy 3-team deals: bit.ly/43eWJCM – 12:03 PM

Rockets reportedly interested in Giannis Antetokounmpo, but not so much trades for Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Zion Williamson
Considering how good their team is, and all the potential trade assets they have, the Rockets can afford to be patient.

Paul George: And the reason I took the hiatus was more so I wanted to get my body healthy. Like, I wasn’t mentally there. You know, at the time where we were as a team, me dealing with injuries, I wasn’t in a space of being jolly and happy. You know, we obviously had topics and guests to talk with, but it wasn’t much for me to talk about, if that makes sense, just because of where I was at. And so now, you know, it’s obviously the summer—my downtime. I’m training, focusing on my body. I did procedures to get ready for this next season, and kind of just wanted to touch back with my fan base—the ones that were concerned: “Why did he stop this?” You know, there was a following. There were people that were looking forward to this. It was helping people mentally—people were going through things that they could connect with, with the stories. -via YouTube / May 14, 2025
