The Abia State Governor Alex Otti, has said his administration has created an enabling environment for business owners to establish their businesses in the state.

Otti spoke in UmuawaAlaoocha in Umuahia North Local Government Area during the launch of two private radio stations built by Abin born entertainment promoter, Lucky Igbokwe.

The governor who was represented by his Special Adviser on Special Duties George Chidozie, said his administration is investing enormous resources on road construction, security, health and education in order to make the first choice for investor.

He said the ease of doing business has improved in the state, adding that the era touts were harassing and intimidating investors with multiple taxation is gone.

He said, “We have made sure that Abia is safe for our people to come back home and invest and non Abians are also free to invest here.

“For me the opening of these two radio stations is a wonderful development and it shows that the programs and all the governor has been doing to encourage the ease of doing business is paying off. If not we won’t have a son of the soil coming to invest back home.

“We been talking about our people who are resident outside the shores of the state to come home and invest, that can only happen in an environment that enables businesses to thrive. An environment where the infrastructure is wonderful, where there is security and what has been laid on ground by this administration is enough to attract investors.

“The governor has been able to tackle enormously issues around insecurity, infrastructure and power. This are enablers that have given rise to this investments that are now flowing to the state. And we are particularly happy about that.

“What Don Lulu has done today speaks to our adage that says our wealth should come home. We are calling on our people to return home and invest because most of their fears in the past has been taken care of with right policies by government”.

Also speaking Igbokwe said it is passion to develop his state that motivated him to establish the radio stations in his home town.

According to him,”Entertainment has a lot to do with the media, when you sing you send the song to radio stations to air, when you sign an artist call the media, dissemination of information is through the media that is what motivated me. I’m from here and I want my people to feel the impact of this innovation.

“I have always been in the media I started with entertainment. I’m the chairman of two flame entertainment. I have signed artists and promoted many of them and I have done a lot of shows in Abia state.

“If have you are very familiar with the Abia space you will know that Don Lulu two flame entertainment revived the Abia entertainment. I have brought most famous A list artists to Abia during the time of former Gov. T. A. Orji, I designed the youths empowerment programme that empowered many you the across the 17 Local Government Areas in the state. I have also given many of them a lot of jobs in the media. So I decided to go into broadcasting to promote our culture and air quality news, information and entrainment without fear nor favour”.
