Ketu North, Volta Region – April 9, 2025 – With heartfelt words and a clear vision, the newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ketu North has stepped into office, calling his appointment the beginning of a new dawn for the district.

“Great things He has done, greater things He will do,” Rev. Martin Amenaki. declared, setting the tone for what he promises will be a season of renewal and transformation for the people of Ketu North.

In an emotional first address, the MCE spoke not just as a leader, but as a son of the land — someone who has walked with the people, listened to their stories, and understands their hopes and struggles. With humility, he accepted the responsibility to serve, promising to lead with openness, accountability, and unwavering dedication.

At the heart of his message was a commitment to partnership — particularly with the area's Member of Parliament, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana. “His love and work for Ketu North is clear,” he said. “Together, we can achieve unprecedented progress.”

Rev. Martin Amenaki's vision is bold but grounded. He plans to focus on key areas that touch the everyday lives of residents:

Supporting farmers and entrepreneurs to boost the local economy,

Improving education so every child has a fair shot at a brighter future,

Expanding healthcare access and infrastructure,

Fixing roads, improving sanitation, and bringing reliable utilities to more communities,

And ensuring no one — regardless of background or circumstance — is left behind.

“This isn’t a journey I can take alone,” he reminded the crowd. “It will take all of us — united, focused, and hopeful.”

As the applause settled, one thing was clear: this wasn’t just a speech. It was a call to action, and a promise to serve — not from above, but among the people
