9 Day Forecast: Temperatures rise above average over the next week

Published 1 month ago2 minute read

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Saturday, El Paso. Hopefully, you’re enjoying the warm temperatures this weekend because they will continue throughout the next nine days.

Sunday will feature mostly sunny skies and light winds with a high near 72 and low around 45. Similar conditions are expected to start the workweek. Monday is forecasted to be near 74 with a low around 49.

Tuesday and Wednesday, the highs will be in the low 80s with lows in the upper 40s. The El Paso region will continue to see warmer-than-normal temperatures through Sunday with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Plenty of sunshine will see us through the first week of February, along with warm and moderate winds.

If you need something to look forward to, Sunday, Feb. 2 is Groundhog Day. If a shadow is seen by the famous Punxsutawney Phil, expect six more weeks of winter. An early spring will be on the way if Phil does not see his shadow, or at least that’s how the tradition goes. Either way, an entertaining way to deliver a winter forecast nonetheless.

On the topic of wildlife, a big thank you to Weather Watcher Virginia Damas for capturing this serene image from Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near Socorro, New Mexico.
