2027: S'East group pushes for Tinubu's re-election

The group, led by its National Coordinator, Belusochukwu Enwere, inaugurated the Enugu State chapter of the movement during an event that featured an empowerment programme for the members. Addressing the large crowd at the event, Enwere explained that the initiative was to promote the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration. He said: “This initiative was conceived to showcase the progress and development of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Supporters and stakeholders were drawn from Enugu State, all the local governments in the state, as well as all the wards.
“We are all united with a resolve for a better future through a people-oriented administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The strides recorded so far on the economy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and notable achievements in education, health, infrastructure, housing, power, etc., should be commended.”
He described the South East Development Commission (SEDC) as one of the major outcomes of the Tinubu administration for the region. “With the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), which is now fully operational, opportunities for growth and addressing pressing challenges in the region will be unlocked,” he added.
Charging members of the newly inaugurated Enugu chapter, he urged them to be worthy representatives of the group.
“As we inaugurate/empower the Enugu State chapter here today, I charge you to be good ambassadors of South East Renewed Hope and champions of the values of good governance of this administration.
“It is therefore my honour and pleasure to inaugurate the executive and members of this Coal City State as Marshals of the South East Renewed Hope Agenda to the glory of God and benefit of Nigerians.
“We know that with the president at the helm of affairs, the South East will be developed. The South East will benefit from the dividends of democracy and our people will be blessed,” he said.
About 100 people benefitted from the empowerment aspect of the programme. “Our people are happy that they are empowered. 100 persons got N200,000, 200 people got N100,000. We have 300 people for N50,000 and N20,000 for indigent persons. All these are to support their businesses, he stated.
In a related development, Ebonyi youths declare have also declared their support for Tinubu’s re-election bid. The made the declaration during the inauguration of the state chapter of South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA).
The National Coordinator of SERHA, Belusochukwu Enwere, who inaugurated the support group, lauded the youths for their support to the President.
He noted that the President had established a bold imprint on the socioeconomic development of the nation. “The establishment of Southeast Development Commission is an opportunity for us and indeed people to come and join for the election of our dear President”, he said
James Alaka, the state Coordinator, in his remarks, commended the President for his inclusive leadership and commitment to equity, competence and national development. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has in the past two years, laid a solid foundation for economic revitalization with signs of progress, already visible. He has shown courage, determination, and a clear vision in steering the country towards recovery and growth. “most importantly, I wish to thank Mr President for giving us Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi, the first time in the history of Nigeria”, he stated.
