A pro-Tinubu political group, South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has called for mobilisation across the 13 Ebonyi Local Government areas to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The SERHA’s National Coordinator, Mr Belusochukwu Enwere, said in Abakaliki on Saturday, at the inauguration and empowerment of the youths that the move was necessary for a better Nigeria.

“We are here to promote the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration and rally support for his re-election,” Enwere said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the programme tagged, “Empowering the Grassroot” also featured an empowerment for the members.

“This plan is to showcase the progress and development of Tinubu, with the stakeholders drawn from the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi and its 171 wards.

“We are all united with a resolve for a better future through a people-oriented administration of Tinubu,” he said.

Enwere commended the President for the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).

“We believe that with the establishment of the SEDC, which is now fully operational, opportunities for addressing pressing challenges in the region to foster growth are within us,” he added.

On the empowerment session of the program, Enwere said financial support and equipment were provided to hundreds of persons.

“100 persons got N200,000 each, 200 people got N100,000, about 300 people got N50,000 each and N20,000 went to indigent persons to support their businesses.

“We have rice, sewing machines, grinding machines, motorcycles, and hairdressing machines for our people here in the state.

“These are the people from different communities and wards in Ebonyi. We have over 1,000 beneficiaries in the state,” the Coordinator said.

Mr James Alaka, Ebonyi Coordinator of SERHA, said the state was strategic for the Renewed Hope Agenda project.

“It is my honour to inform you that South East Renewed Hope Ageida now has 21 executive members, 273 Local government executives and 351 wards executive members,” he stated.
