Zamfara govt reaffirms commitment to sustainable economic growth

This was made known by the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Alhaji Kasimu Kaura, during the Solid Minerals Development Summit and Exhibition in Pakistan.

In a statement by the Information Officer of the Ministry, Abubakar Aliyu, the commissioner  highlighted the state’s proactive approach in promoting responsible resource management practices, that prioritise environmental sustainability and community well-being.

“The state plans to achieve this through strategic partnerships with foreign investors, development partners and international organisations,” he said.

He revealed that the state was working to attract significant investment, create employment opportunities and improve infrastructure, particularly within the mining sector, which holds immense potential for the state’s economic transformation.

The commissioner also disclosed that the state was positioning itself to access cutting-edge technology, technical know-how and funding needed to modernise its mining operations efforts that will help ensure the sector’s growth, while preserving the environment for future generations.

Kaura commended Governor Dauda Lawal for unlocking the full potential of the state’s natural resources and continuing to inspire meaningful progress.
