Woman Claims TSA Stopped Her for Carrying a Bizarre Travel Snack-You Won't Believe What It Was!

It’s another day and another story time! A woman went viral on TikTok after revealing that she brought an entire rotisserie chicken in her bag to eat during a flight. Manhattan-based Chloé Gray posted a video on May 2 recording the experience, and the clip has since garnered over 450,000 views.

Her video, captioned “One thing about me is I’m going to have a culinary experience regardless of the setting,” has sparked funny and stunned reactions on the streaming app.

Chloé Gray was flying from Alaska Airlines to Newark Airport to San Francisco International, with a connecting flight to John Wayne Airport in Orange County via Alaska Air. She said that he packed the chicken so that she could sit back, relax, and enjoy the food like on a first-class flight. She further spoke about how the TSA authorities pulled her aside and questioned her about the ‘crazy,’ aka the chicken.

As per the Mirror, Chloé said that she told her fans that a TSA lady stopped her. “I told her this is how you give yourself a first-class experience without paying for first class,” Gray said. She added that the agent smiled and returned the chicken to her, saying, “Here you go, baby.”

Chloé also spoke to PEOPLE magazine and said that she experiences food anxiety during long-haul flights and wanted to prepare for a more than eight-hour journey. “I get scared at the thought of being trapped for hours without something to eat,” she said.

Moreover, Chloé, who’s a blood sugar patient, has to manage her blood sugar levels for health reasons, and she said bringing her food allows her to eat healthier while flying. In addition, she explained to her viewers that she chose to bring a rotisserie chicken as the packaging is very light compared to other food items like big slices of sandwiches, rice, etc. (It’s best to carry solids and avoid liquids, although there are exceptions.).

“Once done with the chicken, it’s easily discardable — unlike Tupperware,” she said, as per the outlet. However, Chloé also mentioned that she did not trouble the in-flight crew by heating the whole chicken and eating it just like that.

She also extended gratitude to the airline crew, who had no issues with her food. After her video, users on TikTok appreciated Chloé’s authenticity, said they would also try this hack, and said they’d “100%” try it on their next getaway.

Meanwhile, Chloé’s confession about carrying her food comes at a time when the in-flight catering industry is growing steadily. As mentioned by The Mirror, according to Grand View Research, the demand is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.9 percent through 2030.

In recent times, the concerned authorities have issued several new and updated travel guidelines. These include updated rules for passengers traveling with diabetes and the absolute need to have a REAL ID while flying on domestic airlines, and new screening and packing rules.
