A woman has been killed in a motorbike crash on the M69 in Leicestershire, police have said.
Officers were called to a stretch of the northbound motorway at 00:13 BST on Saturday after reports the 19-year-old rider had come off her bike as she travelled towards Leicester with three other riders.
It was reported she had then been struck by a car, Leicestershire Police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives said no arrests had been made in connection with the crash.
Det Con Maddie Hayes, from the force's serious collision investigation unit, said: "We know that our victim was riding with three others on motorbikes.
"We have spoken to these riders – but are keen to speak to anyone who was driving on the M69 at the time and who may have seen the riders before the collision, or the collision itself."
