Wizkid melts hearts as son Zion joins him on stage in Los Angeles
Singer Wizkid shared a heartwarming moment with fans at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles when he brought his son Zion on stage during his concert on Sunday.
A viral video showed the Grammy-winning artiste, real name Ayodeji Balogun, carrying Zion in his arms before placing him on stage. The boy, seemingly shy, briefly looked at the cheering crowd before walking off stage, prompting laughter from his father and the audience.
Fans took to social media to react to the video, with many describing it as the most adorable moment of the show.
One X user wrote, “Zion wey no like crowd and camera.”
Another commented, “The difference btw Bolu and Zion is glaring… Bolu owned the stage… Zion dey shy.”
Wizkid’s concert at the 17,500-capacity venue was part of his ongoing global performances. He was backed by the Color of Noize Orchestra led by Derrick Hodge, performing songs like ‘Essence,’ ‘Joro,’ ‘Money & Love,’ and ‘Slow.’
Jamaican artiste Shenseea also joined him on stage to perform their collaboration ‘Work Me Out.’ She had earlier opened the show with her own performance.
Zion is Wizkid’s third child and first with his manager and partner, Jada Pollock.
In March 2024, Jada shared a video showing Zion training at the Nigel James Elite Coaching Academy, a Real Madrid-affiliated football development school run by the father of Chelsea stars Reece and Lauren James.
Wizkid’s recent album Morayo, released in November 2024, was dedicated to his late mother Juliana Morayo-Balogun, who died in August 2023.
The Hollywood Bowl performance marked one of his first major shows in the US since the album’s release.
