Crews are tackling a wind turbine fire at a farm.

The blaze broke out at about 10:00 GMT at the Coldham Wind Farm in the Fens, Cambridgeshire.

The county's fire and rescue service said it sent crews from nearby March, and from Stanground in Peterborough.

It said officers were working with on-site staff to contain the fire and ensure the area was safe.

In a Facebook post, the fire service said: "You may have seen there is a fire involving a wind turbine near Coldham.

"We have firefighters at the scene working hard to extinguish the fire.

"If you see the flames on your travels, please be assured that we are aware of the fire and have it under control."

Coldham Wind Farm was constructed in 2005 and is a joint project between ScottishPower Renewables and the Co-operative Group.
