Win Son Bakery At Win Son Bakery's East Village sequel, it's still the BEC show
NYCReview
When the original Win Son Bakery opened in Williamsburg in 2019, people quickly realized that if you swapped their BEC’s milk bun for the optional scallion pancake, the result was magnificent. Now, the Taiwanese-American spot has a second location in the East Village, and that scallion pancake BEC—crisped on the outside and oozing havarti—is parked at the top of the menu. For a quick, casual breakfast downtown, it’s a flawless choice. Add a mochi donut to your order, then take your food to-go, or find a little table near the windows up front. In addition to breakfast sandwiches, Win Son Bakery also serves a few lunch options like a smashburger doused in special sauce and fried chicken with skin like chicharrón. They’re worth exploring. But breakfast will always be king here.
