On February 14, 2025, Ashley released a statement via X and claimed that Elon was the father of her child.

“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” Ashley wrote. “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

Along with the photo of the message, Ashley added, “Alea Iacta Est,” which is Latin for “The die is cast.”

Ashley then followed up with a post that said she “[appreciated] the kind words,” but she [wished she] did not feel the need to make a statement.”

Elon is father to thirteen children with four different women. He and his now-ex-wife, , welcomed their first child in 2002. The little boy, Nevada Alexander, tragically passed away at just 10 months old as a result of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
