Where To Eat & Drink In Fredericksburg

Published 16 hours ago1 minute read

One of Austin's prime weekend getaways lies two hours west of the city. Though Texans visit Fredericksburg for its local Hill Country wineries—and maybe a hike to the top of Enchanted Rock—the tranquil town’s dining scene can't be overlooked. For more than a cheese board with your wine tasting, Main Street is your central harbor. Among shops, museums, and other (sometimes cheesy) tourist attractions are some of Fredericksburg’s best restaurants and bars, including a flashy boutique-turned-bistro, a chill Italian ice shop, and a few places that tap into the city’s German heritage.

Whether you’re traveling with little ones, bar-hopping during a bachelorette party, or having a romantic weekend excursion, here are the best spots around town.
