The pension for the welfare of older adults is one of the most important social programs of the Government of Mexico, whose purpose is to ensure worthy old age for beneficiaries through bimonthly financial support.

By 2025, the amount assigned is six thousand 200 pesos every two months, and thousands of beneficiaries remain pending the date of their next payment.

On the rumors of a possible double payment in March due to the electoral closure, the Ministry of Welfare has not yet confirmed this information. However, in past elections, the payment of two bimester was advanced to avoid restrictions of the National Electoral Institute (INE). If this is approved, older adults would receive a total of 12,400 pesos corresponding to the bimester March-April and May-June.

The welfare pension payments are made directly through the well -being card, without the intervention of intermediaries.

To consult the balance, the beneficiaries have several options: they can do it by phone calling 800 90 2000 and entering the last digits of their card, in ATMs of the Welfare Bank, or using the mobile application available for Android and iOS.

As of 2025, the program will also offer home medical visits to older adults and people with disabilities through the Health Casa per Casa Program, in order to carry out periodic health evaluations.
