Zero Waste Sonoma and Conservation Corps North Bay invite the public to a free e-recycling event this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 18 - 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Oakmont Community Center, 6637 Oakmont Dr. in Santa Rosa.    

No appointment is necessary. Accepted items include cellphones, tablets, computers, laptops, printers, stereos, TVs, video game consoles and more. Items that are not accepted include appliances, batteries, lamps, lightbulbs and more.

Creative Sonoma is offering grant funding for public art projects that enhance shared spaces and build community in Sonoma County Supervisorial District 5. Approximately 10 grants, each up to $10,000, will be awarded. 

Nonprofits, schools, chambers of commerce, faith organizations, neighborhood associations, business groups and government agencies are all eligible to apply.
