- Several people are feared dead following a terrible accident that happened along the busy Webuye- Eldoret Road.

The horrible accident occurred near the Kaburengu interchange, a place considered a blackspot, on Tuesday, March 4.

West TV reported that the deadly accident involved a school bus and a truck that was transporting molasses.

The truck driver died on the spot, and seven other people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment.

Preliminary reports indicate the school bus was ferrying two teachers and three students when the accident occurred.

The cause of the accident has not been established, but the photos from the scene show how terrible the accident was, as some of the vehicles involved were completely destroyed.

"I heard that the school bus that was involved in a road accident among other vehicles is from Nandi county and it had brought students studying in Cheptais boys in Mt.Elgon. Then on it's way back, it was carrying two teachers and three students before getting involved in a road accident at Kaburengu flyover on Webuye-Eldoret route. One of the teachers broke his limbs and the others experienced minor injuries. Quick recovery to them."
