We are not recruiting - GNFS warns public
GNFS has issued a warning to the public about a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating online
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has issued a warning to the general public about a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating on social media and various online platforms.
In an official statement released on May 23, 2025, GNFS management clarified that the Service is not conducting any recruitment exercise.
The Service described the circulating notices as false and part of a scam intended to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
“The attention of the Ghana National Fire Service has been drawn to a fake recruitment notice. We wish to emphatically state that GNFS is not recruiting,” the statement said.
According to the GNFS, any legitimate recruitment exercise will only take place after obtaining clearance from the government.
Official announcement of recruitments will be made through national newspapers, the Service’s official website (www.gnfs.gov.gh), and its verified social media platforms (@gnfsofficial).
The Service is urging the public to be cautious and refrain from making any payments or purchasing e-vouchers in response to these fake recruitment notices.
GNFS also encouraged individuals to report such fraudulent activities to law enforcement agencies immediately.
“These scams are being perpetrated by miscreants seeking to take advantage of the public. We advise everyone to remain vigilant and verify all information through official channels,” the statement added.
For any inquiries related to recruitment, the GNFS has advised the public to contact the Service directly via its official phone number: 0302 772 446.
The GNFS reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and professionalism, especially in matters related to recruitment and public engagements.
