The Overlord of the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area, Okyehene Osagyefo Amotia Ofori-Panin's convoy on Saturday, June 21, 2025, made a majestic entry into Akyem Old Tafo in the Eastern Region to the grand durbar of the Ohumkan Festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of the area.
The Okyenhene who drove in a beautiful and elegant black Rolls Royce was led by his retinue who were in a number of four wheel-drive vehicles including Toyota Land Cruisers and Lexus.
The celebration of the festival coincided with the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Akyem Old Tafo Daasebre Adusei Peasah IV, Omanhene of Akyem Tafo.
The 2025 Ohumkan Festival began with a ban on drumming and noise-making from June 3 to June 17, followed by a week-long celebration featuring cultural performances, inter-school competitions, health activities.
