A new season of Absolutely Canadian documentaries air this summer on CBC TV and are available now for free on CBC Gem.

, the series of independent documentaries, is back for another summer season on CBC TV and CBC Gem.

CBC TV showcases documentaries on Saturdays a 9 p.m. (9:30 NT), beginning June 28 and running through August 16. All of the docs on this summer's lineup are available now for free on CBC Gem.

For more than 50 years the Apex Invitational Golf Tournament has grown into a community celebration that breaks barriers, showcases athletes, and acts as an annual homecoming for Truro's Black community. -

At Gateway Meat Market, the lineups are long, the prices are low and the vibes are high. Priced to Thrill tells the tale of a grocery store that's anything but ordinary.

For over 100 years, St. Luke's Anglican Church served the rural, outport community of Winterton, N.L. But with a dwindling congregation and financial hardship setting in, the difficult decision was made to sell the building. While the residents of the town fear the worst, their prayers are answered when Greg Wells, Grammy Award-winning music producer, rolls into town.

Absolutely Canadian is a national one-hour series showcasing documentaries that tell unique stories from communities across Canada. All programs are produced locally and highlight the works of independent filmmakers in each region. Season 25 airs on Saturday nights during the summer. Watch now for free on CBC Gem.
