Defending champion Saigon Heat (VBA) tabbed 29-year old American 196cm shooting guard Davon Dillard (college: Shaw). He played last summer at Medora Timberjacks (TBL) in the U.S. In 25 games he averaged impressive 23.6ppg, 9.6rpg and 3.3apg. He helped them to win the regular season. Dillard can count that year as a very successful as was voted to USBasket.com All-TBL Second Team.
He is a very experienced player. Dillard has played also professionally in Canada (Windsor Express and Titans), Canada, TBL (Cincinnati Warriors) and The Basketball Tournament (Team AboutBillions).
He attended previously one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on he way to pro basketball.
Dillard graduated from Shaw University in 2019 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. He played also for Oklahoma State University for 3 years.
