In a moving obituary, circulated on social media, the family took the opportunity to announce the sad passing of their 'beloved matriarch'.

Mildred was the wife of Noah Agoya Wanyama of Nambototo, and the mother of Mariga, Victor, Meshack, Alice, Thomas, Cynthia, Mercy and Harry.

She was also a stepmother to Anet, Emily, Lydia, Line Linet, Sylvester, Vitalis, Miller and Deverell.

The late was also blessed with grandchildren named Anderson, Walcot, Kenisha, Jarvis, Joshua, Cayson, Tamara, Arel, Giano, Chizara, Junior, Elsie, Marion, Gabriella, Estin and Erin.

"She was the daughter of the late Rev. Harry Osotsi Omutuku and the late Mama Jerita Ayitso Osostai of Ebusiralo, Vihiga County, and sister of Garmalel, Gilbert, Gilbert, Newtone, Hillary, Joel, Geofinar, the Late Joshua, Willis, Raphael, Hanold, Alice, Rose and Milton. Daughter-in-law of the late Thomas Agoya and the late Mama Monicah of Nabomboto, Busia County, and sister-in-law of Dorice, Judith, and Florence," the orbituary added.

The family noted that her memorial service will be held at The Church of God, South B Mariakani, on Wednesday, July 2, from 12 to 5pm.

The late will be laid to rest in her home in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, on Saturday, July 5.

Earlier, a video of the family and guests dancing in the living room while celebrating Mildred's life went viral on social media.

The video, shared by Daddy Owen, showed a huge number of people dancing to a Luhya gospel song, with one lifting a portrait of the late.

Owen and his older brother, Rufftone, could be seen joining in the dance as they sang songs of praise to celebrate the heavens welcoming a reverend.

Victor and Mariga were also spotted sitting in the dining area of the house as they watched the rest dance while going through bittersweet emotions.

The gospel artiste explained why the people were singing and dancing, saying that in the Luhya culture, people mourn while also celebrating the life of the departed.

also reported that Wanyama's wife, Serah Teshna, revealed that Mildred died on the same day as her grandchild's birthday.

The actress shared a picture of their daughter while on air, sharing how difficult it was to celebrate their young one under the circumstances.

Tesha noted that they will celebrate their beloved daughter once they were done with mourning, which would take a while.

It is, however, a big misfortune that the young girl will have to celebrate her special day every year with the memory.
