Vibhu Raghave Dies At 37: Famous TV Actor Succumbs to Stage-4 Colon Cancer - Key Warning Signs Men Should Never Ignore

Television actor Vibhu Raghave, widely recognised for his role in 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins', breathed his last on Tuesday after battling stage four colon cancer. He was 37.

According to the report, the famous TV actor had been undergoing treatment at Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital.

Vibhu Raghave was diagnosed with Stage-4 colon cancer - one of the most advanced and aggressive form of this deadly disease, where cancer has already spread outside the main organ - colon to other parts of the body (this include the liver, lungs, or distant lymph nodes).

Talking to the media, close friends of Vibhu said that he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2022. We reached out to renowned oncologist Dr Prithvi Singh Dwivedi, Max Hospitals, to understand how dangerous stage-4 colon cancer is, and what precautions one should take to keep a track on the warning signs and symptoms.

"Colon cancer, also known as colorectal cancer, is a form of the disease that usually originates in the large intestine or rectum," said Dr Dwivedi.

In medical terms, a stage-4 colon cancer refers to metastasis - which means that the cancer cells have spread to distant organs. According to Dr Dwivedi, at this stage the cancer cells can only be destroyed with chemo therapy - where the chance of survival is extremely less.

Here are some of the warning signs and symptoms of colon cancer that you should be aware of:

Beware of these warning indicators, and make sure to keep a close tab on your body.

The TV actor's close friends, including Addite Malik and Saumya Tandon, confirmed the news of his passing and shared details of his funeral. The antim darshan is scheduled for June 3 from 12:30 PM onwards, followed by a funeral procession starting at 1 PM from 11, Relief Road, Prakash Nagar Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai.
