Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has sacked the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Cyprian Akaolisa.

This was contained in a statement signed yesterday in Owerri by the  Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Mr Declan Emelumba.

The statement, made available to reporters, however, did not disclose reasons for the removal of Akaolisa.

The former commissioner was directed to hand over all government property under his care to the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, immediately.

Emelumba said the sack was part of moves to rejig the executive council (exco).
