Urgent 'do not approach' warning as escaped prisoner seen hopping on train to Leeds - Leeds Live
Police are searching for a prisoner who has escaped from a Yorkshire prison - warning the public to call 999 if they see him.
Liam Slater, 33, was reported to have broken out of Hatfield Prison in Doncaster on Sunday, May 18, at 6.13pm.
Slater, who has links to Wetherby and Seacroft in Leeds, was last seen boarding a train to Leeds from Staniforth train station at 8.46pm.
South Yorkshire Police have now appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information regarding Slater's whereabouts to come forward. The force said they wants to hear from people who have seen or spoken to Slater or know where he might be staying.
People are advised not to approach Slater if they see him, but call 999.
