TRAVELSAVERS Canada is encouraging travel advisors to lean into their expertise, value, and relationships to help fulfill consumers’ desire to travel in 2025 as Canadians continue to navigate economic uncertainty,
The encouragement comes as the Conference Board of Canada reports that consumer confidence dropped 2.3 points in February, marking the first decline in four months, amid rising concerns about personal finances.
Despite this dip, travel remains a priority for many Canadians. A new survey from Destination Canada shows that 58 per cent of Canadians still plan to take a leisure trip this year, with a preference for well-planned, significant experiences.
Jane Clementino, Senior Vice President and General Manager of TRAVELSAVERS Canada, points out that: “While consumer confidence may be wavering, the desire to travel has not gone away.”
Clementino continues: “This is the time for travel advisors to showcase their worth: expert guidance, curated experiences, exceptional value and personalized support. In an ever-changing landscape, advisors can shift the conversation from “if” to “how” Canadians can still experience meaningful travel.”
And TRAVELSAVERS Canada is recommending that advisors highlight the following for travellers now:
Clementino observes that: “With 25 years supporting Canadian travel advisors, we know the power of relationships and reassurance. This is a pivotal moment. Canadians are looking for knowledgeable professionals to help guide their travel decisions, and we’re here to support our advisors every step of the way.”
And as the travel landscape continues to evolve, TRAVELSAVERS Canada remains committed to empowering its network of advisors with the tools, insights, and support needed to thrive in a cautious consumer climate.
By staying focused on value, flexibility, and personalized planning, advisors have a powerful opportunity to build trust, foster loyalty, and keep Canadians exploring the world with confidence.
