Adding Encore to a Lotto Max ticket paid off for a Toronto woman, who is now dreaming of new destinations.

Kirby Dickson of Toronto matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the April 5 Lotto 6-49 draw to win $100,000.

She has played the lottery for a decade now, and uses the Quick Pick feature to select her numbers.

“I was watching TV when I decided to check my Lotto 6-49 ticket using the OLG app on my phone,” Dickson said in an Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. release. “When I saw that my ticket was a big winner, I was shocked and amazed.”

She first told her son the news of the win, and said he was surprised and thrilled for her.

“I then shared the good news with some other family members, and they all congratulated me.”

“Winning is pretty exciting,” Dickson added. “You always think it might happen one day, but when it does, it’s an incredible feeling.”

She plans to make travel plans and also invest part the winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Yonge-Eglinton Centre Postal Service and Varieties on Yonge Street in Toronto.
