spoke to Kephers Njoga, a medic at Nairobi Hospital, Mombasa who said that a lot of unexpected aspects may have contributed to the death of the teacher.
Njoga said a heart attack occurs when the artery taking blood to the heart is blocked.
He said that failure of the system leads to irregular heartbeat which cuts off blood supply to the brain and other vital organs.
“Though it seemed that the teacher was healthy still the occurrence of sudden cardiac arrest might have come up unexpectedly even in individuals without previous heart disorders,” he maintained.
He also added that there are instances where one could have underlying conditions undiagnosed, which may trigger a heart attack.
“All in all, without a medical check-up, it is hard to tell and it's sad it ended in that unfortunate incident,” said Njoga.
The unexpected loss has led to an outpouring of prayers from social media users and the wider community.
