Top 3 options for Phoenix Suns to consider at pick No. 10 of 2025 NBA Draft
No NBA franchise may be going through as much turmoil as the Phoenix Suns. They were a disappointment this season, going 36-46 and missing the playoffs. With few options to improve the roster, the Suns opted to make a big trade to get things going in the right direction, trading future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets.
A key part of that trade was getting the 10th pick, a rare first-rounder for the franchise after trading many of them away to get Durant. Phoenix has plenty of needs, so there’s plenty of pressure on it to hit with this pick this week in the NBA Draft.

Here’s a list of three players who should be available for the Suns to consider.
The 7’1 center had a strong freshman campaign at Duke, producing 8.6 ppg and 6.6 rpg on 71% shooting, including 51 total blocks. Maluach has a great chance of being the first center taken in the draft, and after trading Jusuf Nurkic just to get out of paying more in the luxury tax, that is the most important position for the franchise to focus on. If he’s still around at 10, the Suns have to take him.
Queen is another former 5-star prospect who had a fantastic campaign at Maryland, leading them with 16.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg. He’s not much of a floor spacer, but already has a fantastic offensive game inside the arc and would give the Suns a needed option inside at the five-spot. Plus, pairing him with Devin Booker would be good for the lottery target. If Maluach isn’t available, then Queen is the next best choice at 10.
The 6’4 playmaker was one of the biggest freshmen surprises in all of college basketball last year, leading the Sooners to the NCAA Tournament with averages of 17.1 ppg and 4.1 apg. As one of the younger players in the draft, Fears has a very high ceiling as a lead guard and can run the point. While center is the biggest priority for the Suns, so is point guard to allow Booker to play his proper position at the two-spot.
