President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun, a senior chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as he marks his 90th birthday.

In a statement issued on Friday by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu lauded Chief Oyedokun’s lifelong dedication to leadership, service, and the promotion of democratic values in Nigeria.

He described the elder statesman as a figure of immense political wisdom whose contributions to national development continue to inspire leaders across generations.

“On this milestone, I join Chief Oyedokun’s family, associates, and admirers in thanking Almighty God for his life of impact.

“May He grant our revered elder continued strength, wisdom, and good health to sustain his invaluable contributions to Nigeria,” the president stated.

Chief Oyedokun, a former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has played a key role in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.

His transition to the APC brought with it decades of experience and a deep commitment to democratic governance, making him an asset to the party in Osun State and beyond.
