Mohanlal's gripping thriller ‘Thudarum’, directed by Tharun Moorthy, continues its stronghold at the box office, collecting an impressive Rs 1 crore on its 27th day. With this, the film’s total India net collection has reached a remarkable Rs 116.50 crore across all languages, according to early estimates from Sacnilk.Consistent fourth week performanceAfter three strong weeks, ‘Thudarum’ entered its fourth week with modest yet stable numbers. The film opened its 4th Friday with Rs 1.5 crore and saw slight gains over the weekend, collecting Rs 1.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.5 crore on Sunday. The weekday trend showed expected dips with Rs 1.15 crore on Monday, Rs 1.05 crore on Tuesday, and Rs 1 crore on Wednesday (Day 27).

Thudarum - Official Teaser

Week-wise collection snapshotThe movie enjoyed an explosive opening weekend, collecting Rs 24.35 crore in just three days.

The first week closed at Rs 51.4 crore. ‘Thudarum’ maintained a firm grip in Week 2 with Rs 35.35 crore, followed by Rs 20.8 crore in Week 3. By Day 27, it has collected Rs 116.50 crore net across Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil languages. Occupancy trends on day 27On May 21, the film had an overall Malayalam occupancy of 21.16% in theatres. Morning shows registered 12.53% occupancy, with the pace picking up in the evening (25.67%) and peaking during night shows at 28.01%.

This late-day audience turnout indicates that Thudarum continues to draw attention, particularly from working audiences and families during prime hours. Our verdict

We gave the film a rating of 3 stars and ETimes review reads, “Jakes Bejoy’s music elevates the scenes, making a real impact in the storytelling. Shaji Kumar’s cinematography is excellent and it is perfectly coordinated with the edits by Shafeeque VB and Nishadh Yusuf. Their collective work lay the ground for the mood of the film. Tharun, whose last film Saudi Vellakka won a National Awards, could have done better to have created a more subtle story; this very much has an ‘80s-’90s feel.

For Mohanlal fans, his raw magnetism might be exciting, but with its loud and overwritten scenes, the acting lacks nuance all around.”
