Jamshedpur: Three people, including an 82-year-old woman, were injured after the roof of a dilapidated building collapsed in Hume Pipe Colony under Sitaramdera police station limits here on Saturday.All three persons namely Renuka Das and her two sons Binod (47) and Probir (40) were sleeping on the floor when the roof fell on the surface. They were rescued from under the debris and hospitalised by locals. Renuka suffered fractures in her hands and legs while Binod and Probir sustained injuries as well, the woman's brother Ujjwal said.Ujjwal and Renuka's neighbours said the building was crumbling due to lack of upkeep for several years now and the recent spell of rain worsened the condition. "The precise cause of the collapse of the roof is being investigated," Ghulam Rabbani, officer-in-charge of Sitaramdera police station, said.
