Tirupati: A leisure swim at Motlapalli Cheruvu in V Kota mandal of Chittoor district ended in tragedy on Thursday, claiming the lives of three children.The deceased were identified as Kushal, Nikhil and Jagan, all aged eleven years and residents of Motlapalli village.According to the local police, Kushal, Nikhil, Jagan went to play around the Motlapalli Cheruvu on Thursday morning along with their friends. While others sat on the banks, the three boys ventured into the water body for a swim and their legs got trapped in the mud. While both Kushal and Nikhil died on the spot, Jagan was rescued and rushed to govt hospital at V Kota, where he died while undergoing treatment.V Kota police rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the two other boys from the Motlapalli Cheruvu.
