Two of the stylishly violent spy comedies in the Kingsman franchise are finding new life on Hulu, over ten years since the first film made its debut. The movies are based on the Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons comic book series of the same name.

FlixPatrol reports that two Kingsman movies are charting high on the Top Movies on Hulu worldwide list for May 14, 2025. The only movie performing better than the Kingsman franchise on Hulu right now is Summer of 69, the newly-released Hulu original starring Chloe Fineman and Sam Morelos.

Kingsman: The Secret Service was released theatrically in early 2015, launching the film series that follows Gary "Eggsy" Unwin (Taron Egerton) as he is recruited by Harry Hart (Colin Firth) into a secret spy organization known as Kingsman. The film was critically acclaimed for its dark humor, brutally stylized action sequences and visual style. Egerton and Firth were joined by Samuel L. Jackson as the film's villain, Richmond Valentine, with a supporting cast that included Mark Strong and Michael Caine.

The Secret Service proved to be a hit for 20th Century Fox, grossing over $414 million worldwide, making it director Matthew Vaughn's most commercially successful film to date. A sequel, The Golden Circle, followed in 2017 with Firth, Egerton, and Strong reprising their roles. Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, Elton John, Channing Tatum and Jeff Bridges joined the cast for the sequel, which saw the Kingsman team joining forces with their American allies to stop a vicious drug cartel.

The Golden Circle was also a box-office success, pulling in $410 million worldwide despite mixed reviews from critics. A prequel film, The King's Man, followed in 2021 and also received a mixed reception. It also grossed only $126 million as lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic impacted theaters.

Despite a strong start with both The Secret Service and The Golden Circle, fans of the Kingsman film series may be waiting a while before Taron Egerton returns to lead a third movie in the franchise. It's been reported that 20th Century Studios has "no plans" to make more Kingsman movies "anytime soon". Despite this, Egerton remains optimistic that he will get to reprise his role in the future.

"I don't want to speak out of school, but I don't think that necessarily means that we won't do it," Egerton said in response to the news that the studio doesn't plan to further the franchise. "I think Matthew [Vaughn] and I very much want to do one more. I want to do one more. And so while, you know, we don't have a shoot date yet, I think it could still happen." Kingsman 3 was originally announced in 2017, but appears to be stuck in development at this time.
