This Evolution Of Boho Will Be 2025's Biggest Trend

: moto boho.

Blending the ethereal and feminine lure of soft, voluminous pieces with edgier details in leathers, studs and heavy silhouettes, moto boho should be too contradictory to work—in theory.

Alas, we’re seeing lace maxi dresses paired with biker boots and leather jackets in surplus, not only working in a beautifully contrasted harmony but looking effortlessly cool, too.

According to Pinterest’s 2025 Predictions Report, searches for ‘edgy boho outfits’ have seen a 40% increase, with subsequent terms like ‘moto boots outfit’ increasing 445% and ‘boho fits’ 755%. While the trend has acquired a chic new title given the astronomical popularity of bohos return, the blending of feminine and edge is not entirely new.

Alexander McQueen’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection saw delicate lace ruffles layered under studded leather jackets, while Isabel Marant’s SS25 collection featured studded leather hot pants were paired with oversized black denim jackets and fringed accessories.

On the runway of Ann Demeulmeester’s Fall 24 show, heavy black knee high boots were worn with free flowing maxis in silks and chiffons and at Burberry ruffled adorned dresses were seen alongside oversized leather bags and lugsole boots. All of the above serving as perfect moto boho inspiration before the term was even born.
