"These are all fake people": Joe Rogan is Thrilled to Learn AI Can Make Movies For $500K But

Published 1 day ago3 minute read

Yeah… even Hollywood is not safe from AI. Although movies M3GAN and The Terminator showed us that AI is not a good idea, it seems that this might be happening to the same people who created these movies!

Joe Rogan, the famous American podcaster, discussed artificial intelligence’s capabilities and the extent to which it can go. The podcaster was impressed to learn how cheaply work can be done with AI, and Hollywood doesn’t seem to be too happy about it.

Well, of course, it kind of seems like an insult to the millions of people attached to the filmmaking business. But the crux of the matter is that AI can now make studio-level movies with only $500K!

Joe Rogan sat down for a chat with comedian and writer Tom Segura in one of his episodes on The Joe Rogan Experience, wherein they talked about how AI can make studio-level movies.

During their talks, Segura broke the news that a studio has claimed that they will make movies with AI with only $500K, which includes everything from scripting to making the entire movie. A few clips from the movie were shown to Rogan, who was simply left mesmerized.

It looks so good! It looks so good, like that’s not a real person. It’s the Uncanny Valley. It looks a little weird, but getting better all the time, and the only reason why it looks weird is because it’s so well lit.

He continued,

That’s crazy! These are all fake people. And dude… just a few years ago, you couldn’t do hair. Hair was weird. Now, I mean, just in a short amount of time, it’s incredible.

Well, certainly, people have been getting ecstatic about the use of AI in Hollywood. Although some think that it is an unfair practice, one thing you cannot deny is that AI can make better things almost always.

Like AI wouldn’t make a $250 million (unless specifically told to) movie starring Rachel Zegler if it knew that the movie was bound to fail. Joe Rogan had something to say about Disney’s Snow White, too, and surprisingly, he wasn’t wrong!

It was in recent times that Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot starred in a Disney film titled Snow White. The film was a live-action remake of the original story, but several elements of the story had been changed to fit into the modern narrative.

Fans may remember that Rachel Zegler had said some controversial comments and political statements about the current world affairs during her promotional tours.

The movie failed spectacularly, and during one of the episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcaster sat with his guest Kurt Metzger and talked about how Disney failed to guide Rachel Zegler.

Imagine you spent $250 million, and you get some young girl, and you don’t kind of talk to her about like ‘Hey, you know, don’t get political. You’re young, and I know you have opinions about things, but this should just be about the movie.’

He was also shocked to know that the movie was made with a high budget of $250 million. The film’s opening weekend was a disaster with spectacularly low earnings, and the film was not even able to break even.

Disney’s Snow White currently stands at a rating of 1.7/10 on IMDb and 39% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is also one of the most disastrous Disney films ever made.

is currently available to stream on Disney+ (USA).
